Description:

I, Rachael Lockwood, spotted this Luna moth on my home in Williamsburg. This moth is primarily green with a brownish purple lining along the front of the wings. They have long thin tail & two eye spots on its wings. It is a member of the silk moth family. They are attracted to light & can usually be found around a porch light left on.

Habitat:

Generally found in hardwood forests.
