Field Notes

Habitat:

These birds are living in the Withlachoochee state forest, there is a lake with white water lily's. I found by accident today, when I tried to get close to the birds, to take a photo they flew away, squawking loudly and hid in the reeds.
Could not get a video yet!

Notes:

These are interesting birds that live near water lily's and walk on top of them due to their special feet.

Yes I found it today out hiking, but these moorhens are very afraid of people. The other lake with all the security is in a city area.
I see Lotus also over there..!!
