Description:

The Cottontop Tamarin is one of the world's 25 most endangered primates. This small tamarin has no fur on its face; its head is crested with white hair. It has claws (except on its big toes) & can climb like a squirrel. It has a long tail that is a reddish-orange at the base (2nd picture) turning black by the tip. Spotted in captivity.

Habitat:

Native to Columbia. Tropical rainforests, woodlands. Prefers to remain in the trees and not venture onto the ground.
