Thanks again! And yes, mostly everything I took a picture of that day, was already dead. Winter was at it's best and all the sea life was washing ashore completely or partially dead. It was sad. But then again, the Dunlins were loving it! :)

Ack, re-read my comment, I meant Aurelia aurita! It's a Sunday, brain no work good!

I think this is the moon jellyfish, Aurelia aurensis. A. aurensis has 4 rings arranged in the same places where there are "holes" in the one you found, so I would imagine this was a moon jellyfish and the rings rotted away. Those rings are actually their gonads haha! That's my educated guess anyway :)
