Field Notes

Description:

A small an delicate moth with strong patterns of orange, black, brown, cream, tan. About 14mm wingspan.

Habitat:

Attracted to night nights at a local school.

Notes:

Very cold conditions, easterly wind 12knots, humidity 85% soccasional spitting rain. Fragile appearance - wings kept flipping in the breeze. Larvae eat Maidenhair fern and bracken. Crambidae.
