Field Notes

Notes:

Young hedgehog which arrived behind me when I was gardening. I hope it's ok and was only disturbed by my gardening. It had a taste of the cat food I offered it, then wandered off. Warm weather at the moment so I judged it was better left to fend for itself. At least it means hedgehogs have bred here this year. We used to see them regularly but the only adult I've seen this year was a dead one in the front garden.

Me also in Norfolk Karen - They were very welcome in our garden.
I remember them being a regular sight during my childhood in Kent. I used to see the odd one now & then before I moved to the US but sadly they do seem to be becoming a rare sight.
Very cute:-) Unfortunately a rare sight...
