Description:

Happened to just zoom in real close with nothing in mind and then saw a spec moving. This little bug is on the fine strands of the grass head seen in the second picture. No idea what it is, but sure was tiny,

Thank you! Just happened upon it by accident. Never saw it my naked eye.
Greg... I feel your first picture is Masterpiece...great work..!!
I find similar but European one... http://www.flickr.com/photos/tiggrx/5702238005/
In second picture mark circle if you know beetle is there and reload picture as separate.
Ashish might be right about the chafer beetle.
Kept them together for perspective on how small the beetle was.
I suggest to separate both pictures as different spottings. First pic as insect and second as plant. I feel antennas of insect like chafer beetle.
Think is is smaller than a flea beetle and the antenae are way different.
Nice photos. The little beetle still has one wing out fro under the carapace. Maybe a type of flea beetle?
