Description:

Shining scagious blooms from August to October. It is a flower of Alpine tundra and the highest point where it was spotted 2150 m.s.l. (Belianske Tatras.)

In not just a few cases I do like the bud development much more over the final blossom - actually the development from buds to blossom and then the fading processes fascinate me. The Giant Onion (in my collection) is a good example.
Thanks, at first when I saw the one on the first picture, I though it was a completely different flower from the blooming one.
