Description:

I know these pictures are pretty crummy, but he was so far away!

There are 3 or more of these that I see on a daily basis at my grandparents house on the Guadalupe River. I think they're pretty awesome. :)

Thanks! I wasn't sure about the ID but couldn't find anything closer!
Rahrahxy - I believe this is actually a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron (Nyctanassa violacea). They are smaller than Great Blues at only about a foot and a half to two feet, but their head coloration is very distinct.
