Field Notes

Description:

A solitary bee visits a Matilija Poppy bloom to enjoy it's sweet nectar.

Notes:

Matilija Poppies are an unusual wildflower found in the high desert region in only a few areas of CA. They bloom for just a few weeks, spreading their beauty & fragrance for local pollinators to enjoy. They are one of my favorite flowers to photograph due to their exotic beauty.
