Field Notes

Description:

It is a species of succulent halophytic coastal shrub. It occurs in wetter coastal areas. It grows as an erect perennial up to 50 centimetres high. The flowers are hermaphrodite.
The plant prefers acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils and can grow in saline soils.
It requires moist soil.The plant can tolerate maritime exposure.

Humedales Mar Menor, Marina de El Carmolí, cartagena (Spain)
