I spotted this moth on the wall of my house. I've been leaving my porch light on some nights and have been attracting some moths.

Thanks Keith I think you're right. It looks just like the ones from Ontario in your reference link. I might have been wrong on the size.
A tough one, but I kind of like Red Twin-spot (Xanthorhoe ferrugata) for this. 1.5 " seems a bit large, though. http://bugguide.net/node/view/28254
