Description:

One of the species of hornbill that hunts with a mongoose - the mongoose stirs up prey and the hornbill provides a lookout

Habitat:

Outside of the lodge in Samburu Nat Park

Notes:

Unfortunately the only photo I got of this one

Given that I saw no yellow billed hornbills and I saw tons of red billed, I'm going with red billed
Karen: I agree the wing patterns are not 100%, the suggestion is my most likely id... It is defenately a "Tockus sp."
Now that I see it in a larger size, I"m thinking the hornbill that was everywhere(even though I don't think the wing pattern is quite correct). It's been several months and I"m finally getting to the photos that were spotting photos only and not good enough to print or publish
