@ceherzog: thanks for the comments. the centipede was caught in a spider's web and I was lucky enough to see it from the underside. it is neat. centipedes give me the ooogly goooglies. but after reading about them, I realize there isn't anything to be afraid of as they eat bugs and not necessarily people.
