Field Notes

Description:

No ideia what this could be.

Aprox. 18cm wide, upper surface a bit leathery. Under surface with minute pores, white. This white thing in the upper surface is easily removed.
Rubbery.
Some specimens appeared to be fused and others was solitary.

Habitat:

Well, I don't know... this mushrrom was sprouting apparently from the ground, but near it (behind) there was a bamboo mat. I think this fungus might be parasitizing the bamboo's rhizome or something like this.

Notes:

Found in the dry season in Brasilia, Brazil.
