Field Notes

Description:

Parasola sp? There were many of these tiny mushrooms growing singly and spaced apart on a grassy lawn.

Habitat:

Village yard (grass) near disturbed band of coastal freshwater swamp/sago swamp forest.

Notes:

Parasola sp? Formerly genus Coprinus. "A gazillion little coprinoid mushrooms look like Parasola plicatilis on casual inspection, so a microscope is needed for successful identification of this widely distributed and common species." -- http://www.mushroomexpert.com/parasola_plicatilis.html
