Description:

1 inch wingspan, brilliant yellow-orange on black, upturned reddish abdomen

Habitat:

spotted on crepe myrtle in front yard

Notes:

I followed this little gem around for several minutes because it was so striking in flight. But everytime it landed it always was on the underside of a leaf.
