Gasteracantha crucigera

Comments (5)

The scientific name Gasteracantha crucigera was chosen due to the unique form of median spides. Look into the World Spider Catalog under Araneidae, Gasteracantha - and G. crucigera. Thera are all publications to this specimen inkluding images and derawings. Best regards.
Thanks for your suggestion of Gasteracantha crucigera. This species does indeed occur in New Guinea, but there are many other species of the genus there too. However the format of a PN suggestion includes a space for a reference link, with the expectation that the link will include images and/or information that will support the suggestion. With only a scientific name given and no supporting information (via a reference link or additional commentary) how can I evaluate the suggestion? Can you provide additional supporting information? Thanks
Frazier..great show..!!
