Field Notes

Description:

Papery. Stuck on using a thin thread-like strand.

Habitat:

On the outside wall of the cottage we stayed in. I straddled the window to get two shots. Neora Valley Jungle Camp. About 3 hours drive from the coordinates shown. Remote hilly forested area. Himalayan foothills.

Notes:

I remember reading that when the queen wasp builds her first nest without any help she makes umbrella-shaped ones...like this one, maybe.
