Description:
A very beautiful but toxic plant, the Angel's Trumpet is a member of the genus Brugmansia which is distinct for its large pendulous blossoms and woody shrub-like posture. Brugmansia, is also part of the notorious nightshade family (Solanaceae), and is known for its psychotropic properties. A hallucinogenic tea may be brewed from the flowers, although large quantities can also be fatal. The plants are also part of South and Central American shamanic rituals due to the hallucinogenic properties.

This plant was spotted at a farm at the entrance of Pico Bonito National Park.
