Description:

Vine, herbaceous plant in the Fabaceae Family. Light violet flower with two major petals resembling duck wings and a center structure protecting the male and female parts, this resembling the shape of a duck floating in a pool

Habitat:

tropical subtropical

Notes:

in spanish we grew up calling this flower 'patito' meaning 'little duck'. the patito flower was very common in our childhood days and we wud pick then and try find as many to play with with. I have observed two or three diff kinds, from a white with a purple center to a pinkish variation.
