Description:
Family: Pieridae (Sulphurs) aka Alfalfa Butterfly. Wingspan: 35-70 mm. Coloring and markings are variable - Yellow/orange with black border. Black spot on each upper wings. Orange blotch on lower wings. Adults feed on variety of nectar including dandelion, milkweed, goldenrod and aster. Hosts: Pea family.
