Description:

Large, non-venomous snake that is native to central and southern Europe. Juveniles can be confused with grass snakes as they too have the characteristic yellow collar, but adults (as in this picture) are more uniformally olive/dark grey on their flank and back with specks of white. The belly is beige/cream coloured. (Wiki)
