Description:

This looks like Chrysolina, a highly metallic and rotund leaf beetle

Habitat:

Feeding on Bursaria spinosa in a nature reserve along the yarra.

Notes:

Chrysolina is exotic for most species but I think this is native as it feeds on Bursaria. Chrysolina was introduced to control St Johns Wort (weed) but that is a different species
