Wow! That sounds great....we have some families in Oscar Scherer State Park on the west coast but I don't think the numbers are anyway near that large.
@ceherzog, Brevard county reportedly has one of the largest scrub jay populations. In the area of this spotting I've seen as many as ten individuals on occasion. This article has the most recent numbers that I can find:
