Field Notes

Description:

A sleepy baby rattlesnake made it's way to a friend's driveway & posed for a few shots. A local neighbor took it away to be released in the wild.

Habitat:

Desert regions, some forest areas in the high desert. This one seems to be specific to California (and western desert regions), according to my "snake expert" friend.

Hi.. Your picture made this deadly snake a really cute spotting..Great shot..!!
I am very happy tohear that the kind neighbor took the snake away to be released into the wild. I have heard of horrible things happening to these beauties by terrified people.
Nice closeup! I subconsciously moved my head away from the screen ;)
