Field Notes

Description:

A large wading bird that although widespread is a rare sight in Europe (wiki). Similar to the larger white stork, but the body is almost uniformally black. The beak is red as is the skin surrounding the eyes.

Notes:

This was a really strange sighting, I was photographing a group of buzzards that were circling high up in the sky when I spotted this black stork flying/gliding in the middle of the group. Is this a common behaviour?
