Description:

The Halloween Pennant dragonfly is distinguished by orange-yellow wings with dark brown bands. It is often spotted on the top of a stalk (as in the pictures) where the wind tosses its wings about.

Habitat:

Ponds, and marshes. Foraging in fields. Eastern North America.
