Field Notes

Description:

2 inches long, black, dark brown with blue & faint yellow longitudinal stripes. Each abdominal segment has a white spot which is covered with fur-like long stiff hair called setae

Habitat:

Spotted near South Tamarac Lake on Cotton Lake road. Habitat: hardwood forest of aspen, oak, birch, elm, sugar maple, basswoods.
