Description:

Geranium sanguineum, commonly called Bloody Cranesbill, is a herbaceous plant species in the Geraniaceae family. It is native from Europe and temperate Asia, and is cultivated as a garden subject, and a number of different cultivars exist.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Chicago Botanic Garden

Notes:

See spotting http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7133582 for the same 'bloody cranesbill' with white flowers. Bloody refers to the colors of the leaves in autumn, not to the color of the flower.
