Field Notes

Description:

simply beautiful...!

Habitat:

I found this harpy eagle in Otavalo, province of Imbabura, in a place called "Fundación Parque el Cóndor"..This place, gives home to many birds that have been captured, taken out from their natural habitat and mistreated. In this place, specialized people are in charge of cure some birds that get there with broken or clipped wings or any other kind of problem and recover them so they can return to their natural habitat when that is possible; Some birds can't return because the damage caused is irreversible and they have to spend the rest of their life in the foundation.

I visited recently too and this is one of my favorites!
Isn't it wonderful that there are places like this to help the birds and people that will give their time?
