Yes... you got right info.. Katydids are called matches to real leaf body structure in Green Bush crickets..!! http://www.google.co.in/imgres?imgurl=http://www.hiltonpond.org/images/KatydidBushFProfile01.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.hiltonpond.org/thisweek010901.html&h=316&w=500&sz=35&tbnid=DNAVsWK7eo4AVM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=142&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dkatydid%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=katydid&docid=BsPqNtwGO5AKYM&sa=X&ei=uLtZTovNLIPMrQel2-yuCw&ved=0CEgQ9QEwBA&dur=14
From the wiki info it seems that Katydid is just the US term for cricket but possibly more in the wider sense. I will change the info to just bush cricket as the would appear to be more specific.
I think Katydids have plain green colour and leaf mimic structure what is not match here...
Thanks Guys! I think you are right & it is some kind of bush cricket but apparently there are over 6,400 different species so this is probably as close as I am going to get unless I happen upon a photo of the same type!
Very close to specled bush cricket http://parrotletsuk.typepad.com/wldlife_in_a_suburban_gar/2009/07/sp.html
