Field Notes

Description:

Climbing plant with big beautiful purple flowers. It usually blooms from May to mid-September in our region but will go dormant if we get a cold spell.

Habitat:

Flower garden

Notes:

I planted the Clematis when I first moved here about 8 or 9 years ago and I don't remember what exact species it is. I have found that it grows much better when it is left alone to climb where it chooses.
