Description:

Water Lilies are aquatic perennials with beautiful flowers. There are about 40 species of water lilies in the world, plus numerous hybrids and varieties. The flowers are fragrant with a yellow center and many spiral petals around 3-5" wide which tapers towards the ends. The leaves are flat, spherical with a waxy water repellent upper side with green colour and purplish colour underneath around 8-14" that floats on the surface.

Habitat:

This water plant can be grown in ponds or basins / containers which can hold 4 to 5 liters of water.

Notes:

These lilies are in my backyard pond ...They range from white to deep pink and light yellow...

Just want to request you to check a large pond with such Lotus herbs...over there and also check its a habitat of any birds..!!
They do grow wild around here ...but not in the river ...they like smallpondsand still water
I mean in or around river seen your location map which seen very close to this spotting place.
Are these around anywhere..with large spread attendance..?
Yes Mike it does.....we have many all of the dragonfly pictures I have here were taken in my backyard pond.
