Field Notes

Description:

It appears on a succulent type of plant that I have had for about 17 years. It has grown massively. The blooms begin as a little nodule that grows into a pod-like thing and begins to open at its maturity as the night falls. By midnight it is at its fullest blossom and as light falls it proceeds to close and go limp as shown in second photo. I saw the same plant plant while I was in Lake Navosha, Kenya Africa.

Habitat:

I live in the coastal area.
