Description:

Zabulon skipper mating pair during a courtship ritual. The female is the darker colored individual. They were dancing in the grass and then feeding on butterfly bush flowers.

Definitely! You're right Keith and that explains why they were chasing each other - it's a mating dance. Thanks for the info!
Skippers are often sexually dimorphic so it is quite possible these are different sexes of the same species. Zabulon Skipper- Poanes zabulon - looks like a good candidate. http://bugguide.net/node/view/450
