Field Notes

Description:

Green parrot like bird 12 - 15 inches in length. Black or dark mask with dark tail. Red or yellow feet.

Habitat:

Coastal Palm Beach County Florida.

Notes:

Flocks of 30 - 70 of the Nanday conures arrive at the Boynton Inlet every morning at around 8:30AM. Sometimes combined with Quaker Parakeets. They feed on the Palm seeds and other vegetation in the picnic and fishing area.
