My search always end at POPLAR HAWK MOTH (Laothoe populi)

Peppered moths are only in North America and Europe...not Central America...sill don't know what we have here...

Also check whether this is Peppered moth (Biston betularia)

I don't think so, Ashish...the fake stinger behavior was observed for hours never moving...and it doesn't look like any hawk moth that I have observed, although I've only seen them in flight and thought their bodies were thicker...
