Description:

Climbing plant, invasive and fast growing. Loses some of its leaves at the end of summer, beginning of autumn. Bears small purple flowers in downward-growing clusters in winter/spring.

I do not think so brought from Australia... as Europeans settled in Australia... Not Australians come to Europe... :)
Yes... but find similar... Is Eulalia is watching ..?
Closest I can find so far is Hovea elliptica, which is an Australian native but could have been brought over to Europe at some point. But until I find any concrete information, I'll leave this as an unknown spotting.
