Description:

A large, mostly black butterfly, the trailing portions of the upperside of the hindwings are iridescent blue-green. There is a series of white spots, along the margins of both wings.

Habitat:

fields, roadsides, gardens and woodland sites. in the Lower Rio Grande Valley.
