Description:
Capybara are the largest rodent in the world.
Habitat:
Often found in environments with ample water. They can be commonly found on riverbanks, in marshes or around the edges of lakes.
Notes:
This group of what we believe to be all males were sunning themselves on the river bank as our boat went by. We turned off the engines of the boats and slowly landed on the river bank right alongside these creatures. They didn't react at all to begin with, but slowly they each got to their feet and ambled away. Such calm and relaxed creatures.
