Description:

Also known as the olive-backed sunbird, this is a male yellow-bellied sunbird (formerly Nectarinia jugularis). A female at this same location can be seen here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/11440312

Habitat:

Located in a semi-urban environment of houses, yards and gardens near a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest.

Yes it is. I so rarely see birds in my yard here that I really appreciate their visits. (Unlike the US where I would often see 50 or more species in my yard, cumulatively). However the sunbirds appear less and less now. I'm guessing that invasive sparrows' aggressiveness has something to do with it.

Actually that first pose looks a lot like my Hummingbird except my bill was straighter.
