That is true, in the area where this photo was taken there were lots of calla lilies. It wouldn't surprise me if there were many more of these yellow lilies around that I didn't see, that could produce hybrids of different colours. Thanks for shedding some light on the matter though, it is much appreciated :)
I think it's part of the Golden Splendor Group. That is its name in my book 'lilium 'Golden Splendor Group''. Maybe that will help a little? There are so many names and hybrids with lilies, it's difficult to get an exact match.
Thanks Dangermouse, If only I knew when I took the photo I would have tried to include more of the entire flower, not just the flower head. May make the ID process that little bit easier.
Looks like a type of lily, possibly an imperial lily.
