No I have not tasted it. I have seen the seeds in the spice isle. I looked it up and they say it reduces inflammation and to help prevent the occurrence of cancer. I have to try this now!! You persuaded me to eat persimmons and they were very good!! :) Maybe our Publix store, carries this fresh?
Fennel, an herb that has a strong licorice flavor, can be helpful for several different medical conditions. Homeopathic uses of fennel tend to focus on problems with the digestive system, such as colic, flatulence and indigestion. The herb can also aid cold symptoms such as coughing and chest tightness. Generally, fennel is ingested in the form of a hot beverage. Read more: http://www.livestrong.com/article/123215-homeopathic-uses-fennel/#ixzz1iwj1Plqe
Have you tasted it? This is fresh . I like eating the fresh sprig too. Usually they dry this in the sun. We eat this after dinner as a breath freshener. It has a lot of fiber and aids digestion too. People like to roast it and add salt and turmeric to enhance the taste. They mix it with lotus seeds and coconut and sesame seed etc etc.
Thats a interesting herb!! I have never seen it in Florida.
