Description:

About 50 cm, and 780g. Large erect stance; long legs;small feet, large head and big yellow eyes.
This bird is avtive at night in the savanna areas, pastures fields, and openings.

Habitat:

North Pacific lowlands in Costa Rica (DRY FOREST), recently I have seen it in the middle pacific(rainforest)
