Field Notes

Description:

green body, orange eyes, clear wings. From a distance, it looks very much like the flower it is feeding on or near (the Purple Salvia).

Notes:

On the last picture, the Blowfly was on one side of the Salvia and the White Cabbage butterfly I was attempting to photograph was on the other side. When they "ran into each other" they both flew apart and landed on adjacent spikes of the Purple Salvia.
