Field Notes

Description:

Buddleja davidii is a native of Sichuan and Hubei provinces in central China and of Japan.
It is appreciated in butterfly gardens for its value of its flowers as a nectar source for many species of butterflies.

Notes:

The white form is not that popular with butterflies but this one was being visited by a common checkered skipper and a Fiery skipper.
