Description:

Female Rufous Hummingbird

Habitat:

Winter in Mexico, migrate north along the west coast even as far as Alaska.

Notes:

I have only seen a few individuals in Yakima in the month of July. I had put out the feeder in June not expecting to receive any hummingbirds, and was very pleased to find out that a few Rufous hummers had found it.
