Description:

The Tiger Cardinalfish - Cheilodipterus macrodon has pale undercolour with 8 red-brown stripes; whitish tail base with dark to dusky bar; large prominent pointed teeth (hence its name). Then tend to be solitary with the male brooding eggs in his mouth (not very clear, but in this picture, the male has a clutch of eggs in his mouth, fairly new eggs, in older eggs, eyes of embryos can be seen).
