Description:

When the wings are open, this is an orange butterfly with black stripes. While a longwing, this species has shorter wings and antennae than other longwings. Almost as if in compensation, the wings are broader. Spotted in captivity; see notes.

Habitat:

Common. Costa Rica to Bolivia.

Notes:
